We have lots to report from the last month or two. Most importantly, in February we finished recording our CD at Spot Studio. Now it’s in the editing and mixing stage, but if all goes well it should be released in May. Stay tuned for that! On February 22, we got to see Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas in concert in Aberdeen, NC, and they were kind enough to invite us up on stage for an encore. We all played The Referendum, the song Alasdair wrote to commemorate the Scottish vote for independence. On March 27, Jessie sang with The Vagabond Saints Society at The Garage in downtown Winston-Salem. She brought the house down with Tim Beeman in XTC’s Dear God. Then this weekend we got to play with newborn lambs and chicks after performing at the beautiful Stauber Farm in Bethania. Don’t forget to check our FaceBook page (Dan River Girls) for more frequent updates.
